Early intervention orthodontics, often referred to as Phase I treatment, focuses on identifying and correcting orthodontic concerns in children before all permanent teeth have fully emerged. Treating issues such as jaw misalignment, crowded teeth, or bite irregularities at an early stage allows us to guide proper jaw and dental development, which may help minimize the need for more extensive treatment in the future.

This type of orthodontic evaluation is usually recommended around the age of 7, as it allows us to monitor your child’s dental growth and facial development. During the assessment, we determine whether early orthodontic care could improve the positioning and spacing of incoming permanent teeth. Starting treatment early can make future orthodontic procedures more manageable and support the development of a healthy, properly aligned smile.
